Moore is interested in how features of new media platforms (e.g., social media sites) and technologies (e.g., smartphones) affect our consumption, processing, and sharing of information, especially information about politics and news. He is also interested in how these features affect the way individuals evaluate content which is false or deceptive. Before coming to Stanford, Ryan was a member of the Communication and Cognitive Systems Lab at Ohio State.
