NICK BUCKOVICH, class of 2026, is from Montgomery County, Maryland. He is majoring in Communication and minoring in Spanish. He feels like communication bleeds into every aspect of his life at Stanford, whether it's tour guiding, being the emcee of his a capella group, RAing, being involved in the frosh 101 program, or previously working as a communication intern for the neighborhood system. He is interested in media and entertainment of all kinds, and loves the flexibility and interdisciplinary nature of the comm program. He is so excited to chat with future comm majors and minors and share his love for the program!

LEVI LEBOVITZ, class of 2027, is from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He loves Communication because he believes that - in this era of exponential technological development - it is more relevant than ever to understand how digital media impacts our perceptions of reality. He is particularly interested in the power of stories, which he explores through studying narrative on short-form media platforms in the Social Media Lab, and by teaching creative writing and performing children's theater with Stanford's Flying Treehouse club. He is super excited to help budding COMM students find a way to pursue their passions in the major and continue to build community in the department!

CATARINA ROMANO DE REZENDE, class of 2026, is a senior from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, double-majoring in Communication (Media Psychology) and Psychology (Judgment & Decision-Making). She’s interested in how people build and lose trust—in institutions, brands, and each other—especially within mediatized environments. Catarina has briefly worked as a research assistant at Stanford’s Social Media Lab and Dr. Yu Ding’s lab, focusing on topics like social media’s psychological effects and consumer behavior. Recently, she’s focused on public relations and brand strategy, working on projects across the U.S., U.K., and Brazil. Outside the classroom, Catarina brings a passion for storytelling, cross-cultural communication, and the role of media in shaping public perception. She’s excited to support fellow students—whether you’re exploring the COMM major or looking for guidance navigating the field—and hopes to be a helpful, approachable resource as you chart your own path in Communication.
